Industry Employability Mentorship Program – For IPE MBA students

About Us

We are a group of mentors with diverse experience in the corporate world in terms of the industries and organizations we have worked in the leadership positions. Most of my co-mentors have had extensive experience in Human Resources, especially in Campus Recruitment and Training & Development, which gives us a unique dual view of what employers, are looking for from fresh campus recruits and what skill and competency gaps students have to be self sufficient, corporate ready.


We work with colleges to prepare the students for industry through an immersive course. This course includes domain expertise, campus placement process, internship etc. Sessions are delivered through a combination of various tools such as Discussions, Case studies, Feedback Coaching, One – on- Ones, Development planning, Relevant Social media platforms, Dramatization / Role Play & Mock Sessions (ex. Mock interviews, GDs). The faculty is highly-pedigreed professionals with extensive corporate experience.

Objective

The objective of this program is to prepare the students with employability skills for future choices. We also enhance the subject matter knowledge and various abilities like verbal, quant and spatial. In this program, the students will discover their strengths and areas of improvement through periodic assessments on employability readiness index (ERI). The program thus curates a journey from where they currently are to their destination on dream careers.

IPE’s key objectives include management education, research, consultancy, and training. In 1995, the Institute launched its first two-year full-time post-Graduate Diploma in Management.

The intake of students for the 2022-24 batch is likely to be 500. Their assessment of General Awareness and English communication has been done by Concubes.

Salient Features of the Program

The approach followed is curriculum based, periodic interventions & industry led mode of mentorship program. The salient features of the program are as follows:
1. Employability oriented curriculum providing exposure to Campus Selection Process, Industry Expectation, Domain Expertise & Latest global developments.
2. Mentoring by practicing industry faculty
3. Focus on each mentee through Customized development action plans

Methodology

  1. We will conduct an Employment readiness assessment on 500 students for 8 to 10 days

  2. This will comprise of the following

    1. Case study-based group discussions

    2. Personal interviews

  3. At the end of this we will have a combined report based on above assessment combined with Aon Co-cube assessment

  4. This will be available to everyone

  5. The gaps will be categorized in the following buckets

    1. Articulation, Communication and Presentation

    2. Creativity and Innovation

    3. Strategic orientation

    4. Problem Solving & Decision Making

    5. Proactive Learning & Adaptability – to Technology, Globalization

    6. Teamwork, Collaboration

  6. Based on gaps individuals will be trained on their area of strength
